These were my first thoughts while starting Sprout Kingdom. This idea started to sprout since 1998. At that time I was working on the Organic Cotton Catalogue from the Dutch Alternative Consumers Union. It was there where I learned how poluting the fashion industry really is... But above all that, there were alternatives! Ever since the 80's new developments kept evolving worldwide. It only would be a matter of time...
It took time for me aswell to be able to take the first baby step. Finally all the pieces of the puzzle came together and Sprout Kingdom was born presenting the babycollection made of organic cotton, which is suitable for the little ones suffering from (skin)allergies. By now I gathered a nice group of people around me, without them I was not able to realize my biggest wish...
Petra Meulman founder of the Sprout Kingdom concept graduaded in 1994 at Artez, Arnhem, fashion department. Petra worked for several fashion companies and brands in The Netherlands but internationally aswell, most of the time on freelance base.
